The Matcha Whisk pendant light by Bazar Bizar borrows its silhouette from the bamboo whisk used for the tea ceremony. The rattan is worked into fine rods, gathered at the top then flared towards the bottom, creating an ample and perfectly regular volume. In its natural finish, the fibre retains its warm nuances and colour irregularities.
When lit, the lamp projects a pattern of lines on the walls and ceiling. The gaps between the rods allow light to pass through without holding it back, which softens the lighting whilst bringing the room to life. When switched off, it functions as a sculptural piece suspended in space, visually light enough not to weigh down a room.
This intermediate size finds its place above a dining table, in a hallway or in a composition of several pieces at staggered heights. The rattan suits interiors with artisanal inspiration as well as more understated settings, where it brings a living material.
