Oiled oak sideboard 200cm CH825 - Carl Hansen & Søn

Hans J. Wegner designed the CH825 in 1959 as one of many Credenza that, with their calm appearance and functional interior, became sought-after at auctions many years plus later. In 2014, Carl Hansen & Søn relaunched one of these Credenza, the CH825, to mark the 100th anniversary of Wegner's birth.
When the two roll-up doors of the Wegner CH825 credenza are slid to the side and behind the inner backrest, the interior of the credenza is fully accessible. On the other hand, when the credenza is closed, the doors form a calm, continuous surface veneer with vertical grain. As a handle, a vertically placed piece of wood is attached to the solid vertical front edge of the door via a fine square steel plate.
The interior of Wegner's Credenza is equipped with a combination of shelves and pull-out trays that provide useful and varied storage space. These are divided into three compartments, the outer two of which each feature two shelves and the central compartment four pull-out trays. The shelves can be adjusted as required.
Credenza can be chosen with round solid wood legs that fit à la most of Wegner's chairs and tables, or with a curved steel frame that is also used in its CH100 series.
