A graduate of the prestigious ECAL in Lausanne, Julien Renault began his career as an assistant to Hem collaborator Sylvain Willenz as soon as he completed his studies. With a handful of awards to his name, he set up his own studio in 2011. Inspired by everyday objects, his designs are clean, simple and minimalist.

The Log collection features tables with clean lines and a refined silhouette, designed by Julien Renault, whose intention was to create the quintessential table for work or leisure. Its pared-back design cleverly conceals its engineering. The deliberately sturdy legs anchor the table and give it stability, while their simple screw fittings make assembly straightforward. The curved edge and rounded lines of the legs soften the overall effect.
