A graduate of the prestigious ECAL in Lausanne, Julien Renault started working as an assistant to a collaborator of Hem, Sylvain Willenz, as soon as he finished his studies. With a handful of awards under his belt, he set up his own practice in 2011. Inspired by everyday objects, his designs are clean, simple and minimalist.
The collection Log presents tables with clean lines and a refined silhouette, designed by the designer Julien Renault, whose intention was to créer a quintessential table for work or play. Its sleek design cleverly conceals its engineering. The deliberately sturdy legs anchor the table and give it stability, and their simple screw connections make assembly simple. The curved edge and rounded lines of the legs soften the overall effect.
