The Annika basket by Broste Copenhagen adopts the vocabulary of simple craftsmanship: a round body in woven rattan, a low height, an appearance that does not seek effect. Its Natural Brown finish reveals the pattern of the wickerwork and the warm tone of the fibre, which develops a patina over time.
Its compact shape makes it easy to place almost anywhere: on a shelf, at the foot of an armchair, on a worktop or in an entrance hall. It stores the small clutter of everyday life, newspapers, textiles, potted plants, without weighing visually on the room. Its lightness allows it to be moved with one hand.
As is often the case with Broste Copenhagen, the object relies on material rather than decoration. The rattan brings a natural texture that tempers mineral interiors and suits light woods as well as muted tones. Several pieces together create coherent storage, in a sober Nordic spirit.
