Silhouette is a collection of rugs designed by Jaime Hayon for indoor and outdoor use that showcases the acclaimed relaxed style of the designer and artist.
Rendered in a delicate line, the illustration defines the silhouettes of several imaginary characters that intertwine and coexist in a beautiful composition. Hayon subtly introduces colour through small elements full of personality that help to interpret each of the images. Nine faces are arranged at different angles so that the rug can be viewed from any perspective and fits perfectly into any space.
nanimarquina presents for the first time the technique of embroidery on kilim, a painstaking process handmade in Pakistan where chain-stitch embroidery adds texture and a soft volume that emphasises the sinuous quality of the illustration. Despite its delicate appearance, this is a robust technique suited to both residential and commercial use. Available in two standard sizes, the indoor model also includes a tapestry piece that can be hung vertically.
