The Aymara line of textiles from Form & Refine follows the traditions of the northern design. It is made of the purest alpaca wool from the highlands of northern Bolivia plus fine and produced by highly skilled artisans in Bolivia. This combination results in a simple yet elegant product line. Our alpaca textiles are made of 100% pure alpaca wool, without the use of other wools. They are available only in the natural colours of the alpaca, without any dyeing process. The textiles are made using the art of knitting, a craft that is more difficult to master than the art of traditional weaving. The plaid brings luxe for your home and comfort.
Designer: Herman Studio was founded in 2012 by the two architects, Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen. Their work ranges from textiles, ceramics, lighting and design furniture à la interior design. A characteristic of their design is the clear silhouette of the objects. Working with a clear silhouette for each object allows the design to simply stand out and be easily recognizable. Their great passion for design goes beyond aesthetics and is mostly about the construction and use of materials. They work through a precise process between sketches, models and prototypes. Their design process often begins with the study of construction methods, which plays a central role throughout the design process. Their workshop has therefore become a natural part of the studio!
