The Roly Poly collection by Faye Toogood, a British designer, comprises an armchair and a single-piece sofa in rotationally moulded polyethylene. This series embodies the concepts of furniture and sculpture, perfectly reflecting Driade's philosophy. The distinguishing feature of these single-piece furnishings is the bowl-shaped seat, rounded and welcoming, with cylindrical legs and delicately linear forms that lend it a reassuring, solid appearance. Made from rotationally moulded polyethylene, the low seat has been enhanced with soft padded cushions that nestle into its curved shape for an inviting seating experience. The armchair and the sofa are available in a variety of colours to complement any type of indoor or outdoor decor.
All pieces are handmade by small manufacturers and traditional craftspeople, with an honesty towards the raw, irregular character of the chosen material.
