Airborne is a French designer seating brand. It owes its success to its famous AA armchair, also known as the Butterfly. The design of this chair was in fact inspired by a chair used in the field by 19th-century British officers: "The Tripolina Chair". Today, Airborne Design is the official manufacturer of this great design classic. The AA chair is a nod to France's oldest architecture magazine, "Architecture d'Aujourd'hui".
