Yesterday, this table served as scaffolding.
A table with a past
Regularly, Altrad-Plettac retires part of its scaffolding stock. Damaged by long years of rental, they have become unsuitable for perching a worker in the sky, but retain all their structural qualities closer to the ground.
Glass panes too solid to be kept
A glass partition is cut according to the space it fits out. Tempered for safety, it cannot be recut. When they are removed, these glass panels, although in perfect condition, end up at the recycling centre. Victims of their fixed dimensions, their reuse becomes impossible.
Only a project made to measure can spare them this broken fate…
Clavex to infinity and yet always unique: Epoxy paint is a powder that the brand sprays onto steel parts, before being baked at 200° C. During this vaporisation, part of the powders flies into the extraction circuits, mixing over the days in collection tanks.
The mixture obtained is perfectly reusable. One just has to accept that each colour is unique and unpredictable.
The cork used to finish the end of the scaffolding tubes comes from crushed wine corks. The glass top is simply placed on top and that is just enough to prevent it from sliding.
