The Y5 chair makes a strong and beautiful statement. Hans K, in collaboration with designer Sami Kallio, created the Y5 chair. The chair's power lies in the inverted Y shapes of its backrest. These Y forms are joined together organically, giving the chair all its function, strength and durability. Combining traditional joinery methods with innovative techniques, the Y5 chair has its roots in the history of Swedish design.

Wood is its principal material and reflects a commitment to ecologically sustainable design. Y5 suits many different settings, whether at home, in a café or in a restaurant. It comes in two models; chair and bar chair with different seat heights and is also available in several wood species.

In 2016, the Y5 chair won the Design S award, a Swedish national design prize from Svensk Form.
