Reminiscent of the interplay of weft and warp in fabrics, the Ami Ami chair - whose name in Japanese literally means "to weave" - was born of the designer's desire to reproduce one of the traditional stylistic motifs of his culture: interlacing.
The simple, square lines contrast with the richness of the interlacing work, particularly evident on the inner and outer surface, created using a complex industrial process that succeeds in recreating the motif thanks to a mold unique.
