The Umalas two-seater sofa by Bazar Bizar is designed for outdoor use. Its recycled teak structure gives it a substantial presence, with that irregularity of grain and tone inherent to wood that has already lived. The lines remain low and clean, without ornament, for seating that sits equally well on a terrace, under an awning or in a veranda.

The Green Alga finish brings a muted plant colour that leaves the teak grain visible rather than covering it. The result pairs easily with stone, gravel, planting or a wooden floor. Two people can sit comfortably, with a back low enough not to visually clutter an open space.

The ensemble lends itself to free compositions: facing an armchair, on either side of a coffee table, or alone along a wall. The recycled teak ages with patina, making each piece slightly different from the last.
