Karup Design has built its reputation on a functional, pared-back approach to bedroom and living room furniture. The brand is particularly well known for its multi-layered futon mattresses, made of cotton and foam, which provide a firm sleeping surface suited to both fixed beds and sofa beds. The solid pine structures, such as the Retreat Bed, perfectly illustrate this philosophy: clean lines, headboards with discreet storage and sizes ranging from single beds to 160x200 cm. For dual-purpose spaces, the Karup Design Sofa beds are a natural complement to the bedding, offering a seamless transition between seating and sleeping. The colour palette remains deliberately restrained, with pale woods, neutral tones and darker shades available in the Black Karup Design bedding selection, so that it suits a wide variety of interiors without imposing any strong chromatic constraint.

This bedding is especially well suited to compact bedrooms, studio flats and living spaces that shift between daytime and night-time use. Karup Design futon mattresses pair with the brand's own frames but remain compatible with other floor-level or raised structures.
