Hippo

The Hippo collection by Karup Design stands out for its versatile, elegant futon furniture, designed to make the most of your space while offering exceptional comfort.

The Hippo sofa, the centrepiece of this collection, converts effortlessly into a thick, comfortable mattress. Simply release the backrest and lift the armrests for the sofa to unfold completely, making it the ideal solution for putting up guests or hosting sleepovers.

The Hippo sofa measures 140 cm wide, 100 cm deep and 70 cm high in its seated position, with a seat depth of 53 cm. Unfolded, it measures 200 cm long, 140 cm wide and 25 cm high, offering a generous sleeping surface.

The Hippo collection also includes versions designed for outdoor use, such as the Hippo OUT sofa. Thanks to its special Dralon fibre cover, which is both stain- and water-resistant, this sofa can be used with complete confidence on the terrace, the patio or by the pool.

Every product in the Hippo collection is handmade, which may result in slight variations in dimensions and weight, adding a touch of authenticity and individuality to each piece.

In short, the Hippo collection by Karup Design combines functionality, comfort and aesthetics, offering seating and sleeping solutions that adapt to a wide range of settings, indoors and out.
