Hippo is a comfortable futon armchair that easily converts into a mattress. Simply detach the backrest and lift the armrests for Hippo to lie flat and become a thick, soft mattress, ideal for welcoming guests or for sleepovers. Designed by Anders Backe, Anne-Sofie Voss, Ida Sofie Lange, Lars Wigh and Troels Rask Pedersen for Karup Design. Please note that all our futons are handmade; you may therefore notice slight variations in size and weight.
