HAY Oak Dining Tables

The HAY dining tables in oak bring together 58 designs conceived to marry natural material with contemporary Scandinavian design. Oak, with its expressive grain and proven sturdiness, is one of the Danish brand's favourite materials: it lends warmth and character to deliberately pared-back silhouettes. Every HAY oak table is part of a functional, long-lasting approach, faithful to the founding values of the house established in Copenhagen in 2002 by Mette and Rolf Hay. Discover all of these pieces in our Tables department.

HAY regularly collaborates with designers from the Nordic and international scene to create precise forms, free of superfluous ornament. Among the collection's most recognisable silhouettes, the About A Table is available in oak in several formats, from compact versions for two to large family tables. The tapered legs, the slightly chamfered table top edges and the meticulous joinery all reflect a constant attention to build quality. Here, oak is offered in its natural tones, from lightly oiled pale wood to smoked oak with darker undertones, providing a discreet palette that adapts easily to a wide range of interiors. To complete your space, explore the HAY stools too, which often share the same formal codes and the same timbers. Admirers of other Scandinavian names will also enjoy a look at the Normann Copenhagen tables, another benchmark of contemporary Danish design.

A HAY oak table works equally well in a main dining room, a home working space or an open-plan kitchen. Its natural material converses with textiles, brushed metal or ceramics, and pairs easily with a HAY rug to visually structure a room. It is made for those seeking understated, sturdy and coherent furniture, able to take its place in an interior for years to come without ever dominating the overall tone.
