HAY Metal Shelving Units

The HAY metal shelves bring together 23 designs conceived to organise space with rigour and restraint. Danish brand HAY draws on an industrial approach to metal to create structures that are light, sturdy and perfectly in tune with a contemporary interior. Open grids, slender uprights and carefully executed finishes define each model, whether you are after discreet storage or a centrepiece for the living room. To explore everything the Scandinavian house has to offer, All HAY products provides a complete overview of the collection, while the Shelves department makes it easy to compare the various storage worlds available.

HAY has built its reputation on a functional reinterpretation of Nordic design, working with studios and designers who share a pared-back, sustainable vision of furniture. The metal shelves embody that heritage: calibrated proportions, precise assembly and matt or lacquered finishes that slip effortlessly into all kinds of settings. The sizes on offer span a wide spectrum, from a compact module set on a console to a wall-mounted bookcase that structures the room. Lovers of white can continue their exploration with the White metal shelves, a much sought-after colour variation. For anyone looking for equally rigorous solutions in other materials, the Aluminium shelves make a compelling alternative in the same clean, industrial register.

These shelves are equally at home in a study, a living room or an understated bedroom. They pair naturally with other HAY creations: the HAY lamps cast a focused glow over displayed objects, while the HAY rugs anchor the whole scheme and define the living area. Metal converses beautifully with pale wood, polished concrete or raw linen, making it a versatile backdrop for composing a coherent interior without any sense of a forced set. A storage solution designed to last and to adapt.
