Green Stoneware Tableware

Green-tinted stoneware tableware makes a bold choice for dressing a table with character and consistency. This collection brings together 20 pieces carefully chosen by The Cool Republic, each crafted in a dense, hard-wearing stoneware whose green tones range from the muted shades of khaki to stronger, almost botanical greens. Whether you're looking to put together a complete dinner service or to add to an existing table piece by piece, these items combine artisanal sturdiness with contemporary looks. Browse all of our suggestions in the Tableware department for a full overview of our table settings.

Stoneware is fired at high temperature, which gives each piece its characteristic density and slightly irregular surface. These visual and tactile qualities are precisely what sets stoneware tableware apart from industrially produced porcelain or glass. The green colour, applied as a glaze or running through the body of the clay, responds subtly to light, revealing different nuances depending on the exposure. This collection includes dinner plates, bowls, soup bowls, cups and serving dishes, so you can build a coherent set or mix pieces with other materials. To broaden your selection towards similar tones, take a look at Beige stoneware tableware, or explore complementary pieces from Bloomingville tableware and Pomax ceramic tableware, two collections particularly well represented in this natural, matt register.

This green stoneware tableware works just as well on everyday tables as on tables laid for entertaining. Its palette sits naturally alongside raw linen, light or dark wood and washed cotton tablecloths. In an open-plan kitchen or a dining room in neutral tones, the green of the stoneware brings presence without dominating. Pair these pieces with blown glassware or matt cutlery to heighten a calm, organic mood. To explore other directions in the same spirit, HAY tableware offers pared-back shapes that sit well with this kind of material.
