Emi

Erwan Bouroullec's brief: to bring professional-grade quality to lighting in the residential and hospitality sectors. And so the Emi collection was born. Exclusive technology developed by Flos made it possible to create a series of compact lights fitted with a patented anti-glare optical unit for optimal visual comfort.

"The Emi lamp expresses a new lighting concept that brings together several invisible sources to create a paradoxical experience: light born of shadow. What we particularly love is Emi's intriguing contrast, pairing a deep, dark matt body that seems to be a void with powerful invisible sources that deliver efficient, high-performance lighting on both the ceiling and the floor. Emi is a silhouette made of shadow that brings light."

Shadow, or the projection of light

EMI retains its air of mystery even when switched on. The visual effect it produces is magnificent. The source, however, remains a secret, as the light emerges from the central body and never catches the eye directly. The result is a lighting solution that is supremely comfortable to look at.
