Designed by the duo PaulinePlusLuis for Hartô, the Carmen pendant light plays on a stretched line that crosses space horizontally. Its painted metal structure carries a veil of textile laminated onto PVC, in a warm terracotta shade that filters the light and softens its intensity. The object remains slender, almost graphic, and reads like a suspended line above a table or an island.
The lighting relies on an integrated LED strip, which diffuses a warm white light close to that of a traditional bulb. Compatibility with 0-10V and phase-cut dimmers allows the light level to be adjusted according to the time of day, from a brightly lit meal service to a lower ambience in the evening.
Designed for interior use, Carmen finds its place above a large dining table, an elongated worktop or a meeting table. Its cable length leaves room to adjust the suspension height, and its low weight facilitates installation under standard ceilings as well as in taller volumes.
