The IOI coffee tables by GamFratesi, a designer duo, are a celebration of Italian materiality, featuring solid brass and grey Emperador and white Carrara marble. The use of marble anticipates a growing desire for the honesty and authenticity of organic materials. The careful selection of colours and textures ensures that the materiality of the marble is preserved in the final design. The stones are chosen for their veining and striations, giving each table a unique expression.
The table's twin legs are joined by a small solid brass sphere, which serves both as a functional spacer reinforcing the two tubular legs and as an intimately considered detail or pause that highlights both its own materiality and the special attention paid to the spaces between the elements of each piece.
With their different marble colours, heights and diameters, the IOI coffee tables fit in perfectly in pairs and furniture groupings, or as a single table.
