Console table in dark oiled oak 140x40x80cm Eida - Bolia

Designed by Martin Lauritsen for Bolia, the Eida console rests on a construction in solid dark oiled oak. The wood, worked from the mass, gives the piece a frank presence and a weight that is felt as soon as you handle it. The dark shade reveals the grain without crushing it, and allows the natural variations inherent to each piece to appear.

The console adopts an elongated, narrow format, calibrated to slip along a wall, behind a sofa or in the perspective of an entrance. Its height remains contained, making it a passage support as much as a compositional element. The lines are clean, without ornament, and let the material carry the statement alone.

It suits understated interiors, where the dark wood serves as a counterpoint to light walls or natural textiles. Place a lamp on it, a few objects, a mirror above: the Eida console structures the space without saturating it.
