Kabuki is the new pendant light created by Ferruccio Laviani for the Italian house Kartell. Alluring with its lace-like dress, sensuous curves and neo-baroque look, the Kabuki pendant light is injection-moulded using a solid thermoplastic polymer technology. The sophisticated technique used – a Kartell speciality – makes the product sturdy and stable, while its perforated surface allows light to filter through, casting fine, delicate shadows onto the walls. Although at first glance it appears to be the fruit of meticulous craftsmanship, this piece is in fact strictly industrial, demonstrating once again all the possibilities offered by plastic. The pendant light is available in several colours and a floor lamp completes the collection.
