Designed by Charles Seuleusian for Hartô, the Gustave stool plays on the combination of two honest materials: a seat in solid natural ash wood and a metal base painted in a muted ashy green. The design remains simple, almost graphic, with taut lines that leave the structure visible and lighten the silhouette.
Its seat height makes it suited to worktops and kitchen counters, where it slips in without cluttering. The footprint is square and compact, the weight contained, which allows it to be moved with one hand and stored against the island when not in use.
