Soul

It all began in London, a few years ago. Frédéric Winkler, with DCWéditions, and the French-Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian. Each with his own stand, directly facing the other. Yet far from eyeing one another warily, the two struck up a friendship born of camaraderie and shared sensibilities. A desire to work together, but above all, for each of them, to tell their own story. Childhood, upbringing, games and dreams. For Charles Kalpakian, it was Lebanon and that paradoxical freedom, the moment school let out, of running and playing in a city in pieces. It is these memories that he has given form to in the SOUL collection.
