The idea for this design was born during a walk through the neighbourhood, where the fluted façades of the buildings left a lasting impression – one that is echoed directly in the fluted column forming the heart of the table. The fluted surface adds a tactile quality while also creating a dynamic, ever-changing interplay of depth and shadow throughout the day, depending on how the light falls upon it.
