The idea behind this design was born during a walk through the neighbourhood, where the fluted façades of the buildings left a lasting impression and are echoed directly in the fluted column that forms the heart of the table. The fluted surface adds tactility but also creates a dynamic, ever-changing interplay of depth and shadow throughout the day, depending on how the light falls upon it.
Crafted from travertine, the Soho table consists of a column and a top designed to contrast with one another. The slim, lightweight top stands in strong contrast to the robust, fluted base of the column. An intentional interplay between heavy and light elements is part of what makes this table so intriguing. The table surface is treated with a Nano coating to resist light splashes, ensuring its practicality without compromising the aesthetic, as the surface retains its matt finish. Meanwhile, the raw, untreated column highlights the purity of the material, embracing the beauty found in its small voids and distinctive imperfections.
