Plastic Side Tables

Plastic side tables hold a special place in contemporary furniture: light, hard-wearing and often treated as genuine sculptural objects, they bring a strong graphic presence without weighing down an interior. The Cool Republic brings together 33 models chosen for the quality of their design and the relevance of their material, a plastic shaped using modern processes that lend it visual density, durability and formal precision. Far removed from mass-market references, these pieces are aimed at those who see every piece of furniture as a deliberate aesthetic choice.

Plastic, in its high-end design form, allows shapes that wood or stone simply cannot achieve: continuous curves, slender walls, single-piece silhouettes. Among the most striking proposals in this section are the Pols Potten plastic side tables, a Dutch label renowned for its offbeat, colourful takes on occasional furniture. The available finishes span a broad chromatic spectrum, from matt white to gloss black, by way of saturated shades that readily converse with more noble materials. For those wishing to widen their selection beyond plastic, the Side tables section also offers marble side tables or stone side tables, to vary the materials within a single space. Dimensions range from the small side table set beside a sofa to more generous formats, adaptable to a variety of settings.

These tables are equally suited to the living room, the bedroom or an informal workspace. Standing alone, they are enough to punctuate a corner or to accompany an armchair. Paired up or arranged freely, they create a coherent visual rhythm. Their resistance to knocks and moisture also makes them suitable for a covered terrace or a conservatory. For a bolder colour palette, combining them with green side tables or contrasting shades reinforces the decorative coherence of the whole.
