Merigous is a porcelain manufacturer, founded in 1954, with the aim of applying the family’s expertise to the field of decorative building fittings (porcelain door handles) and furniture (porcelain furniture knobs). It is this originality that has built the company’s reputation, setting it apart from the more traditional tableware sector.
In 2008, the company was awarded the ‘EPV’ (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label, a mark of recognition from the State for its highly specialised expertise and technical mastery. In 2016, Alexandre and Thomas, the sons of Laurent Merigous, took over the reins of the family business, facing the challenge of preserving more than 60 years of expertise whilst ensuring the company remained relevant to the modern world. Very quickly, they secured the ‘Porcelaine de Limoges’ Geographical Indication and set about modernising the production facilities and creating an additional production line to meet the demands of their clients’ bespoke projects.
