Glass Carafes

The glass carafes brought together here cover a wide spectrum: a table water carafe with a clean profile, a glass carafe with a stopper to preserve aromas, a decanter with a tapered neck to let red wines breathe, or a juice pitcher with a generous curve. Each piece is chosen for the quality of its glass - borosilicate resistant to thermal shock, mouth-blown crystal or high-clarity transparent glass - and for the consistency of its design with a contemporary table.

The selection appeals equally to lovers of formally set tables and everyday kitchen use. The clean shapes signed by Norm Architects for Menu or the geometric silhouettes of the Hay Borosilicate range serve the same purposes as more accessible pieces, without ever sacrificing aesthetics. For those looking for a vintage glass carafe, the faceted or flared-neck models are reminiscent of the artisan glassware of the 1960s and 1970s while remaining functional for everyday use.

Capacities range from 0.5 litres for individual carafes to 2 litres for family pitchers. Cork, moulded glass or silicone stoppers keep infused water, lemonade or white wine chilled. Cylindrical, conical or balloon shapes pair well with matching sets of glasses.
