Chisel

Designed for HAY by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker, the Chisel lounge chair is a contemporary yet timeless take on the moulded plywood chair, as relevant today as ever. Named after the classic woodworking tool, Chisel grew out of a desire to create a solid wood chair with a distinctive silhouette that would stand the test of time. Developed with optimal craftsmanship and ergonomics in mind, the chair's soft, organic seat and back provide sound support in a visually inviting way, complemented by slanted legs that echo the chiselled references with their characteristic bevelled edges. The wide range of wood types, colours and front upholstery options available for the Chisel Lounge Chair, combined with its compact size, makes it ideal for use in most domestic and public settings, from living rooms and bedrooms to waiting rooms, entrance halls and libraries.
