Tamoto

The collection draws its inspiration from Japanese kimonos – most notably in the draped headboard, which echoes the fall of a kimono sleeve.

Shane Schneck has conceived a colourful collection available in a number of variations. He works with three steel colours and two fabrics, each in three shades. The subtle interplay between the colour of the steel bed and its fabric headboard yields six different combinations. The Tamoto sofa beds are about far more than sleeping: they lend themselves just as readily to reading, watching television or working.

True to his habit of pushing beyond the standards of the design industry, the Sweden-based designer has created a functional, innovative piece that suits every contemporary space, from compact studios to large, generous bedrooms.
