Deep plate in ebony brown stoneware 25cm La Mère - Serax

La Mère, Marie Michielssen's first ceramic tableware collection, is an affectionate ode to the (grand)motherly figure and to women in general.

The collection has a slightly nostalgic feel, while being innovative in many respects thanks to its vertical structure. Each shape is unique and hand-modelled.

All the pieces are finished with an off-white glaze or a warm, almost black dark brown one. For the third, contrasting colour, Marie opted for a powerful Venetian red. The designer also deliberately chose these colours to create a mix & match of white and dark brown, or red and dark brown.
