Light grey steel low chair Valérie - Serax

Marie Michielssen always begins designing a piece of furniture with a series of sketches on paper. With mathematical precision, she constructs the volumes. The proportions must be perfect and suited to the human body. For the Valérie low chair, she started from an elliptical base to which she added two rectangular surfaces, a seat and a backrest at just the right angle, allowing you to sit with elegance and comfort. In addition to the lacquered steel version, she has produced a version in noble oak, finished with a dark brown stain.

A commanding chair, resolutely contemporary, ideally suited to opulent interiors.

Marie also loves steel because it is an honest material. What you see is what you get. The optional seat cushion adds extra comfort. The fabric, Belgian and hand-worked, was chosen by Marie for its tactile appeal.
