Reissued in 2024, the story of the T37 Woven Chair began in 1935, when the city of Paris launched public tenders in preparation for the 24th World's Fair of 1937, giving rise to the T37 Chair. In 1948, Xavier Pauchard conceived and developed the woven pattern, combining the lightness of its geometric lines and the delicacy of its weave with the durability and pared-back purity of steel. He then applied this pattern to the seat of the timeless T37. The T37 Woven Chair was born.
