Reissued in 2024, the history of the T37 Tressée chair goes back to 1935, when ville de Paris issued public invitations to tender in preparation for the 24th Exposition Universelle of 1937, with the creation of the Chaise T37. In 1948, Xavier Pauchard imagined and perfected the braided motif, combining the lightness of its geometric lines and the finesse of its braiding, which contrasted with the durability and purity of steel. He then used this pattern in the seat of the intemporelle T37. The T37 Braided Chair was born.
