The Pao lamp collection is the result of an exciting collaboration with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Named after the soft, luminous shape of traditional Pao tents in Mongolia lit up at night, Fukasawa sought to recreate that same atmospheric warmth and conviviality in the Pao table lamp.

Pao draws on Fukasawa's aesthetic of beautiful simplicity, creating an everyday object inspired by the design values found in the natural world. By maintaining a modest, simple aesthetic, he brings the design into harmony with its surroundings, reinforcing his original intention of making the atmosphere pleasant and comfortable.

In the Pao table lamp, Naoto Fukasawa developed a way of concealing the bespoke LED light source, keeping it nestled inside the lampshade to give the lamp a clean, uninterrupted visual identity. Both the base and the lampshade are made of opal glass, offering functionality and a deliberate simplicity of design that make them suitable for a wide range of spaces and uses in both domestic and professional environments.
