Atlas coffee tables are very heavy and must always be assembled by two or more people. Always handle marble and travertine with care. Each slab is unique and may break if it comes into sudden contact with hard objects or is subjected to significant force.

Named after the mythical Titan condemned to hold the heavens on his shoulders, the solid legs of the Atlas table firmly support the spacious tabletop. The meeting and contrast between the legs and the top are at the heart of design, each element exaggerating the other, giving à la table its distinct presence and its brutal aspect .
For Atlas, John Astbury drew on several influences from architectural history. There are references to porticos and colonnades, but Atlas relies primarily on the archetypal post and lintel construction. Combined with a simple géométrie, the circle and square, these are the primary archetypes that, ensemble, create the caractère and the composition of the table.
