First launched in 1961, Italian virtuoso Gianfranco Frattini's Model 597 is the lamp that launched him as a lighting designer. Its playful unique shape perfectly encapsulates Frattini's extraordinary approach to the aesthetics of light. The 597's unique nylon bangs are inspired à la by the world of mode and the fringed entrance curtains commonly found in Italian bars and grocery stores à la in the late 1950s.
Thanks to à la range of side bulbs, the table lamps emit a 360° play of indirect light, softened by the bangs to créer a rich ambient glow, while the reflective aluminum cover adds warmth to the upward lighting.
