Lilac and yellow steel chair Cartagenas - Ames

Discover here the Cartagenas collection designed by Sebastian Herkner: living room and dining chairs designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Their shape and colours were inspired by a visit to the coastal city of Cartagena de Indias, hence their name.

The colourful recycled PVC threads are hand-woven around a tubular steel frame in Colombia. Different colours are used for the seat, the backrest and the frame to bring about a lovely visual dynamic.

The artisans use a particularly elaborate weaving technique, which explains why each chair takes 3 days to make.

This weave lends a unique charm to these chairs, making them both attractive and comfortable.
