It was poetically in the former ballroom of a Berlin factory that this Setup2 shelf was conceived, and it is in a true "made in Berlin" spirit that it was crafted nearby. Oak wood and solid steel come together in this pared-back design, where the simplicity of the materials matters just as much as the purity of the lines. Four levels of storage find their place here in a clever interplay of asymmetry. Linked by white lacquered metal cables, they form a striking composition that seems to float in mid-air, ready to welcome books and objects at your whim. An intelligently conceived system, it is remarkably simple to assemble, and several modules can be joined together by the largest shelf for a resolutely design-led result.

Handcrafted in oak - carefully selected and sourced from sustainably managed forests - it is enriched by its own unique grain, a variation that is an integral part of its design. The wood has undergone no chemical treatment such as formaldehyde or other harmful substances, and the surface has been treated solely with natural oils. A natural patina will gradually enhance it over time. Its designer, Jörg Höltje, believes in the longevity of objects: it is with this commitment to quality and durability that he conceived Setup2, along with the other models that make up the elegant Link range.
