LED table lamp black cord 16 x 10 cm Block - Design House Stockholm

A lamp? An object? This Block table lamp sits on that boundary where the strange meets the beautiful, where definitions blur, where magic happens. It was created by Harri Koskinen, regarded as Finland's greatest designer and the holder of some of the most prestigious awards in the world of design. It is no coincidence that Block, launched in 1997, has been part of the permanent catalogue of the MOMA since 2000. A bulb captured, frozen within a block of glass, glowing there in all its mystery and all its simplicity. It is in fact this idea of glass, of an object thrown into glass and frozen, that lies behind its conception. From that impulsive, creative gesture was born this legendary lamp, which The Cool Republic is delighted to offer you in two cord colours and two sizes. Replacement bulbs are also sold on our pages, for many more hours of light.
