Dark stone-effect felt ball rug 50x70 cm Kurt - myfelt

Felt ball rugs have arrived at The Cool Republic: allow us to introduce German brand myfelt, whose relaxed, fresh approach to design was bound to win us over.

Made according to fair trade principles, the Kurt collection is crafted from large felt balls, each one shaped individually by hand.

A genuine eye-catcher, its felt balls take on the look of marbled pebbles in a blend of dark grey with lighter accents, lending the room an atmosphere all of its own.
As well as being a fascinating piece, Kurt brings softness and light to your living space.

Its rectangular shape adds a touch of originality: it will easily find its place at the heart of a living room or a bedroom, and its bright, cheerful colours will heighten that effect.

myfelt felt ball rugs are made from pure New Zealand sheep's wool, regarded as one of the most precious of all for its durability and exceptional quality.

Right at the start of the production process, the wool is combed at a workshop in Nepal. It is then washed several times and dyed under very strict ecological and humanitarian conditions, which are moreover approved by GoodWeave, one of the leading organisations campaigning for a fair rug industry.

Each individual ball is made by hand in several stages. The finished balls are then sewn into a rug, which can consist of more than 50,000 felt balls, using a knotting technique developed especially by myfelt.

A beautiful decorative object made to the highest fair trade standards – now there's an idea that takes you places!
