Uovo Uovo, by Catharina Bossaert, is first and foremost a duo egg cup. It is made up of two stacked forms, creating on the outside a sturdy block of terracotta or concrete. The glazed interior reveals the imprint of an egg. “It is a play between the fragility of the void and the robustness of the clay form,” explains Catharina. “I am always looking for contrasts and tensions, exploring unexpected combinations of materials, textures and shapes that inspire me.”
