Uovo, by Catharina Bossaert, is first and foremost a duo egg cup. It consists of two stacked forms, creating a sturdy block of terracotta or concrete on the outside. The glazed interior reveals the imprint of an egg. "It's a play between the fragility of the void and the robustness of the clay form," explains Catharina. "I'm always looking for contrasts and tensions by exploring unexpected combinations of materials, textures and shapes that inspire me."
