A gem of ingenuity and technology, Bookworm is a cult bookcase that revolutionised the world of design… This flexible bookcase gives free rein to everyone's imagination and creativity: it bends and curves to suit your every whim and need! Conceived by the great Israeli architect and designer Ron Arad in 1994, Bookworm dresses walls with a sublime undulating line, to the great delight of design lovers and bookworms alike.

Made by the Italian manufacturer Kartell, this modular shelf is crafted from flexible PVC in a black colourway. Its remarkable flexibility and enhanced sturdiness mean each support can hold almost 10 kg – a luxury for collectors of all kinds. This model comes with 11 book ends to be fixed on either side of this 5.20 m long shelf. Whether a little snail or a serpentine shape, Bookworm adds a personalised, whimsical touch to any interior!

The avant-garde Bookworm bookcase finds a place in every room of the house, fitting beautifully on the walls of a child's bedroom or a large, welcoming living room. Picture its sinuous curves above a colourful bench in the lounge area, or winding playfully between the frames and wall shelves of a spacious office.

The Bookworm bookcase comes in three different lengths (320 cm, 520 cm, 820 cm) and in a wide range of colours; several versions are available at The Cool Republic.
