Airborne is a French design seating brand. It owes its success to its famous AA armchair, also called Butterfly. The design of this chair was inspired by a chair used in the field by British officers in the 19th century: "La Tripolina Chair". Today, the company Airborne Design is the official manufacturer of this great design classic. The AA armchair is a nod to the oldest French architecture magazine "Architecture d'Aujourd'hui".
