The Fläpps shelf by AMBIVALENZ is fixed to the wall and folds back on itself when you no longer need it. This narrow and tall format can be installed in a corridor, between two doors or above a desk, where a classic piece of furniture would not find its place. The panel folds flat against the wall, the clutter disappears, the pattern remains visible.
The birch plywood is covered with a coloured HPL laminate by Pattern Studio. The Bubbles Indigo design covers the surface with a play of blue circles that transforms the shelf into a graphic element as much as storage. The stainless steel hinges ensure the opening and closing movement without particular effort.
The structure accepts a comfortable load for books, plants or everyday objects. Several modules can be aligned or stacked to create a rhythmic wall, by mixing the widths and patterns of the Fläpps family.
