The Fläpps shoe rack by AMBIVALENZ is wall-mounted and completely frees the floor space in the entrance. Its narrow, tall silhouette fits where conventional furniture cannot: behind a door, in a passageway, in the corner of a hallway. The shelves fold flat against the panel when not in use, and the unit then takes on the depth of a simple frame applied to the wall.
The construction combines birch plywood with a coloured HPL coating and stainless steel hinges. This lightweight structure remains stable in use and supports a generous load distributed across its surfaces. The white version blends into a light wall and lets the shoes become the only visible element.
Conceived as a system, Fläpps comes in several versions and can be combined: multiple modules aligned or stacked compose bespoke storage, adapted to the available height and the number of pairs to accommodate. A precise solution for tight entrance halls, where every centimetre of floor space counts.
