Wall-mounted secretary desk in birch 50x41x80cm Fläpps Alps - Ambivalenz

The Fläpps secretary desk by AMBIVALENZ attaches to the wall and frees up the floor. Closed, it forms a flat panel a few centimetres thick that almost disappears into the wall. Open, the flap unfolds horizontally and becomes a work surface large enough for a laptop, a notebook and a lamp.

The structure combines birch plywood covered with coloured HPL and stainless steel hinges. The whole remains light, less than seven kilos, whilst supporting a load of forty-five kilos once installed. The Alps pattern, designed by Joe Mania, dresses the visible face and gives the closed panel the status of a graphic object rather than simple storage.

This compact format suits bedrooms, hallways and small living rooms where a fixed desk would take up too much space. It integrates into the Fläpps family, whose shelf and secretary desk modules combine freely on the same wall.
